Out of no where....

Issues floating on the surface of this lively giant sphere bear dark consequences that hardly venture into the heart of it's billions inhabitants. Incurable diseases, poverty, starvation, tremendous number of children dying every second, minute, hour, day. All these somehow seems too common to be seen or heard but sadly, barely triggered enough loving souls to lend their helping hands. Even good Samaritan possess a pair of mighty visible blind eye towards the needy. Millions of young innocent fragile life's are wasted, abandoned by irresponsible parents whose degree of selfishness goes beyond the limit. Why bring them here if not intend to, worse, preparing to discard the defenseless. Out of no where, tonnes of unforgivable reasons are thrown out. Armed with the courage to go against the will in creating an unwanted life, but not with one to face it. Thousands on the other side of this planet prayed day and night longing for their very own flesh and blood and yet incapable of it. Only one in a million would take the winding path, adoption. Where are the democrats.? Those who shows everyone or simply the media with beautiful promises that ends as soon as the boasty speech does. Bought the heart of sympathetic or rather shallow minded civilians, touched or fooled by these wonderful promising words and falls exactly into the widely stretched out arms that finally got hold of the extra vote.

I actually wrote this out of no where, again in the middle of a biology class after reading a rather sad but good piece from reader's digest July 2005.

Nice blog even though you said you didn't really know why you wrote it! I quite like this phrase you wrote that is 'Why bring them here if not intend to, worse, preparing to discard the defenseless..'. I agree with you on that... Yet, some countries don't approve abortion because of ethical issues... But isn't it more unethical to discard them after birth? Well, that's how I look at it. Cheers.

Thank you..that's exactly why..some countries only allow abortion for some particular reasons...such as rape victims....it is both immoral to abort and to abandon a baby but you can't help the fact that people took abortion for granted....they can't completely blame the country for banning abortion....the country didn't point a gun at your head demanding you to get pregnant....even if they were forced to have unprotected sex...there's still chance to prevent pregnancy...well for a few days thats it...and may god bless those who doesn't know it...

I think its a bit oversimplification of a very complicated matter. Unprotected sex? Even with protected sex you have a possible of conception? Even then, there is such issue as when does life begins? How do you define the 'first day of pregnancy' and 'pregnancy itself'. Some religious groups claims that drugs that prevent pregnancy actually are abortion drugs. In some way technically, conception is already been done, just that the drugs prevent the ovaries from attaching to the wall. So the chance you're mentioning of preventing pregnancy maybe technically consider an abortion? I guess u need to define abortion too. Beside, you forgot child-rearing isn't an easy matter, not to mention religion comes into play, society and even individuals, familys, yada yada. Not only that, some countries like ours do not have a very good welfare system in place? Young parents? Support? Its not like u can hike somewhere and build your own house and plant your own plants. Survival? Education? Future? A lot of factors and point of views to look at. Abortion maybe a shortcut to some, immoral to some, unethical to some, but to me, sometimes it is necessary to some. Not that I would approve of it or like it. But they made that choice, so they have to live with that concequences. I wouldn't be the one to make their life worse. They already killed a life and have to live with it.

And by the way, I think there is a line to be drawn in helping people and helping people to help themselves. Sharing is very beautiful but I find it lacking when dealing with parasites and lazy people. Actually, it breeds it. And what kind of democrats? The people's government or the social equality type? Democracy itself carry too many meanings.
